We have a very exciting announcement! 🎮

We will hosting a Games for Change Africa Game Jam on 28 February in collaboration with G4C Africa and RLabs.

It’s a one-day build where students work in teams to prototype a game around a social impact theme revealed on the day. Fast iteration, real constraints, real judging .The kind of environment that actually pushes creative thinking.

We’re big on giving our students spaces that feel like real game dev, not just class projects — and this is exactly that.

Looking forward to seeing what they ship. 🚀

📚 Exam Season is Here! 5 Tips for Parents and Kids from Algorithmics Team 📚

As we head into the May/June exam period, we know this time can be stressful. But with the right preparation and support, you can navigate it smoothly! Here are our top tips:

1️⃣ Create a Study Plan: Help your kids make a study schedule. A clear plan will help avoid overload and distribute study time evenly.

2️⃣ Set Up a Comfortable Study Space: Ensure your child has a quiet, well-lit place to focus on their studies. Remove any distractions from the area.

3️⃣ Take Breaks and Rest: Remember the importance of breaks. Short 10-15 minute breaks every 45-60 minutes of study can help maintain concentration and energy.

4️⃣ Healthy Eating: Support your child's health with proper nutrition. Healthy snacks like nuts, fruits, and vegetables will provide the necessary energy for mental work.

5️⃣ Emotional Support: Exams are stressful, so emotional support is crucial. Talk to your kids, listen to them, and encourage them. Believe in them, and they will believe in themselves!

At our programming school, we understand the importance of this time and are here to support you and your children! Good luck on your exams! ✨👩‍💻👨‍💻

Did you know that the term "bug" to describe a programming error originates from an actual insect?

In 1947, while working on the Harvard Mark II computer, computer scientist Grace Hopper discovered a moth stuck between the relays, causing a malfunction. She removed it and jokingly referred to the incident as "debugging" the system. This term has since become a standard part of the programming lexicon, and we still "debug" code today to fix errors! 🐛💻

🤓 Mark's story: age is not a barrier to innovation 🤓

In Silicon Valley, a young prodigy named Mark, a self-taught programmer, created the social networking platform "Facemesh." It used facial recognition algorithms to tag people in uploaded photos.

Facemesh quickly gained popularity, attracting millions of users worldwide. Mark expanded its features, including a news feed and privacy settings, transforming online communication. Facemesh caught the attention of tech investors, and Mark assembled a team to enhance its capabilities. It became a household name, revolutionizing online interactions.

Mark's vision extended beyond social networking, connecting people globally and empowering underrepresented voices. His journey inspired young coders, proving age is no barrier to innovation, reshaping the world with a single idea.
