— Lipolysis: Fat-dissolving injections (injection lipolysis) can effectively eliminate the fat from stubborn areas of the body. It is a non-surgical approach.

Injection lipolysis helps to tone the body by breaking up the walls of fat cells. Once the walls are broken down, fat is released and removed from the body through the normal body metabolism. Fat collections in some areas of the body are resistant even when following a healthy diet and exercise regime. With lipolysis injections the process is accelerated allowing for faster fat removal without any invasive procedures.

➕ Will I lose weight ?
This treatment is not intended as a means of weight reduction but is a way of getting rid of unwanted localised deposits of fat, e.g. double chin, fat on the thighs, belly and upper arms.
➕ Which areas can be treated ?
Injection lipolysis is best suited for areas of soft fat on the belly, the face, the inside of the thighs, the back and hips. Injection lipolysis therapy also achieves good results on cellulite.
➕ How many treatments are necessary?
This depends on the amount of resistant fat that one wants to dissolve.
On average 2-3 treatments are needed. They can be repeated every 3-4 weeks. Results are not the same in each patient and vary per individual.
➕ How soon one can see the results?
Slow and gradual improvement can be seen after 3 weeks, the maximum results are seen after 8 weeks.
➕Is it painful?
As there are few nerve fibres in the subcutaneous tissue, the injections are not painful. Patients only feel a slight initial prick and, for the first 2 hours, a slight sensation of itching and burning.

One should stay hydrated. It is important to maintain a healthy body weight as the new weight gain will result in regrowth of fat cells.

As the cost of sanitary pads reach sky high- period poverty is significantly affecting our women with girls having to miss school because they cannot afford menstruation products and moms being forced to choose between cost of food and cost of sanitation. South African women are still resorting to using old clothes, rags, newspaper and even leaves.

Why are we still so afraid of Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Multiple studies have shown that women who replace their low hormones with HRT have a lower future risk of cardiovascular disease. However, the minority of menopausal women in South Africa are being prescribed HRT to assist with their low hormones and perimenopausal symptoms
Take initiative to learn the benefits vs. risks.
