Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will not appear in this order again from the perspective of the Earth until August of 2040!

I'll be a beautiful 50 years old! And will be 49 smashing years. How old will you be?

The last time this alignment happened was in 2004.

Crossing my fingers for clear skies on these freezing winter mornings to witness this majestic planetary alignment.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are lining up in the pre-dawn sky, this has been happening throughout the month of June but from today we will be able to see them all a lot more clearly.

This alignment can be seen above the eastern horizon every morning. On the 24th of June the waning crescent moon will join the alignment.

Happy Winter Solstice!

And jeez are we feeling it down here in the Western Cape. This day brings on the shortest day and longest night. A change in seasons, a change in our natural rhythm - Do you know what's happening up the sky right now?
