Thank you so much for the opportunity to spend time at the Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital, Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. I truly appreciated the warm welcome and the chance to share an overview of Paediatrics and Child Health at Tygerberg Hospital/Stellenbosch University. The SAPA Congress was truly remarkable, hosted at a breathtaking venue, and, as always, it was filled with valuable insights and experiences. Our Stellenbosch team was well represented by registrars, consultants, and our Head of Department. We proudly showcased:
-Two poster presentations
-Four research presentations by registrars
-Consultant presentations that highlighted our team's excellence.

Prof Simon Schaaf, emeritus professor at Stellenbosch University, has spent over 45 years transforming the treatment of childhood drug-resistant TB. His pioneering research has shaped WHO guidelines and improved outcomes for countless young patients worldwide.
