I know what it feels like to look like you are coping while quietly unravelling inside. For years I pushed through exhaustion, tied my worth to productivity and told myself this was just what strong people did, until my body and brain said “no more”. Now I work with founders and busy professionals who feel the same slow slide. I help you make sense of the pressure you are under, calm your nervous

system and find a way of working that does not cost you your health, marriage or love for your business. I am warm, honest and a little bit cheeky. Pushing through can look strong from the outside, but it often keeps the same patterns in place.
It hides how bad things feel, delays change, and teaches everyone, including you, that you can keep carrying more than you should.

Coping is not the same as being okay.
Sometimes the thing that helped you survive is now the thing keeping you stuck.

Still functioning doesn’t mean you’re fine.

A lot of people miss the early signs of burnout because they haven’t fallen apart.
They’re still working.
Still coping.
Still getting through the day.

But underneath, everything feels harder than it should.
You’re more tired, more wired, more reactive, and less like yourself.

Burnout does not always start with collapse.
Often it starts with the slow erosion you keep brushing off because you’re still managing.

That’s why this matters.

When exhaustion becomes your baseline, you stop questioning it.
You wake up tired, stay mentally switched on, and call it normal because it has been normal for too long.

But just because you have adapted to it does not mean your system is coping well.

Sometimes it starts here, when you are still showing up, still getting things done, but everything feels heavier than it should.

If you have been telling yourself you are fine because you are still functioning, this is your reminder that fine on the outside is not the same as okay.

Stress and burnout aren’t the same thing.

A lot of people tell themselves they’re just stressed, when actually something deeper is going on.

You can still be functioning.
Still getting things done.
Still looking fine on the outside.

And still be more burnt out than you realise.

That’s why I’ve created a small group space where we’ll talk about the difference between stress and burnout, why you feel so exhausted, what kind of rest might actually help, and the patterns that keep you pushing through when your system is asking for something else.

The aim isn’t to pile more information on you.

It’s to help you understand what’s going on, and start refuelling yourself in ways that help you feel more like yourself again.

More and more people have been asking me lately how to tell the difference between stress and burnout.

Hell, the first time it happened to me, I didn't even know what it was. I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. The second time, I had the words to describe it. That is part of why this matters so much to me now.

So many people still do not realise how close they are to total collapse, because they are still functioning, still showing up, still overriding what their body and mind are trying to tell them. I see it in my clients all the time.

So I wrote this blog to break down the difference between stress and burnout, and why it matters before your system forces the stop.
