We generally underestimate the importance of healing - whether it’s emotional or mental or physical, healing is important to give rest to our bodies and our souls as well. During times of healing, we also get the chance to take advantage of this time to examine new and unexpected opportunities and insights that can arise, and can oftentimes change our lives for the better. 💚

ZINC is critical for healing tissues (esp. mucous membranes), gene expression, and building proteins. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory as well as an anti-oxidant mineral supporting your immune system. It is necessary for almost 100 enzymes to carry out vital catabolic chemical reactions in the human body.

FOOD SOURCES:
Oysters, red meat, and poultry
Legumes, nuts (like cashews and almonds)
Seeds (like pumpkin and flaxseeds)
Whole grains
Nutritional yeast is a good source of zinc for vegans and vegetarians

SUPPLEMENTS allow for convenient intake - especially for those avoiding grains, seafood and legumes.

FORMS: Bis-glycinate, Amino acid chelate, Picolinate, Ascorbate, Acetate, Citrate, Gluconate, Sulphate, Carbonate

EXCESS zinc can interfere with the absorption of iron and copper and may also cause nausea and even vomiting - so MORE is not always BETTER!

Contact LNNMC for more information about ZINC in your nutritional programme or as a supplement.
