At Fertility Mate we work with the best Reproductive Endocrinologists across the nation who will ensure your safety and well-being during the egg donation process. Our program meets all the standards and criteria set by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, CDC and FDA. Screening will include infectious disease testing, doctor consultation, fertility testing and psychological screening. Screening may also include criminal record checks, psychometric testing and genetic testing. All these tests are performed free of charge and you walk away with crucial medical information about yourself. The process of egg donation comprises the initial application steps, screening, stimulation and egg collection. Well-educated, physically and mentally fit women between 21-28 years old are perfect candidates for first-time egg donation. Repeatedly proven Egg Donors may donate until 33 years old. The egg donation does NOT affect the Donor’s fertility, and this generous gift provides hope to families who long for a child. We believe that it takes a special person to serve as an Egg Donor, and that compensation for your gift to a deserving individual or couple should be both generous and timely. A Donor is not paid for her ova, instead she is compensated for her time, effort and costs incurred during the donation. At Fertility Mate we abide by the Egg donation Guidelines and ethics of SASREG (the Southern African Society of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy).
