It's world breastfeeding week, well it's coming to an end. But it's been beautiful to see everyone celebrating their accomplishments and sharing their journey. I am in awe of moms who breastfeed, it's beautiful, it's nourishing , it's hard!

My breastfeeding journey didn't go as I'd planned, like most of my parenting.
I thought I'd share the letter I wrote to Luca the last time he fed. "you fed from me for the last time today. Breastfeeding is not easy, well at least not for us. I fought to give you the best for 5 and a half months. We battled together, first it was the latch, then the supply. I did everything i could and loved feeding you. Maybe if I'd stayed home it might have continued but my milk supply dropped and you got grumpy. I tried and tried but realized that breastfeeding doesn't make me a good mom. I can still bond and love you. I do feel like I've failed but I promise I fought hard.

I'll still rock you to sleep and snuggle with you. I'll still stare at your sweet face while you drink and I'll always try to give you the best.

Hi everyone, I'm taking a little break from the sewing machine! Our family of 4 are going on a month long camping adventure through Namibia and Botswana. Pitching tents in the wild, getting dirty, learning about nature and having fun is what it's all going to be about!

The website will still be open to place orders while we're away, but any items ordered will only be sewn and shipped from 20 July.
