Last week I had the privilege to meet Katherine Tait and her team of physiotherapists at Table View Physio. What a team!
Katherine asked me to do a 90 minute staff education session, introducing them to the 12 myofascial meridians and fascia-focused movement. We talked about fascia as connective tissue but also fascia as a sensory organ and a system that is closely associated with our autonomic nervous system.
The ‘condition’ of our fascial system influences both our physical and mental wellbeing and, like me, Katherine and her team are passionate to help people find health through movement. Health means all of it, not just our physical bodies! Body and mind are intricately connected. The fascial system is in constant contact with the nervous system.
I am a firm believer in keeping a curious mind and am always evolving and learning more. Katherine’s team share this view. They are enthusiastic to learn more, to stay curious and open to the latest research and studies in our field, they feel passionate about giving their patients the best possible care and that includes having a ‘whole-listic’ view of the body-mind.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, caring, experienced physiotherapist in Bloubergstrand, look no further than Katherine and her team.
