FELT FANTASTIC AFTER THE RELEASE BUT THEN THE PAIN RETURNED?

In the early stages of BSR as the muscles are letting go, the body goes through a series of muscle adaptations. As muscular tension is released the person will begin to feel better. However, during the healing process the body is still vulnerable, and if a person does too much too soon they may find that pain starts to come and go.
After a release the sensation of pain returning may signal that you may not have fully adapted to the changes. Your BSR practitioner can advise you about posture, sleep, exercise and other small changes that may be causing your body to re-stress. If you have followed all their advice to the letter, and have not done anything wrong, then a “return” of pain, may be an indication that body stress was present at a deeper level and the practitioner will now be able to prompt that deeper layer of tension to release. After a BSR session, the releases initiate the self-healing process which continues for several days.

Self-care is becoming more and more vital in this world of insensitivity and self-centredness. But make sure once you have given you what you need to remain gentle and kind, you don't forget to turn it outward too. One thing that is glaringly obvious is that the world needs a lot more tenderness.

Men suffer from Body Stress related issues just as much as women do. Just like women, they get exposed to chemical, emotional and physical stressors and these have the same effect in both genders. That being said, there are particularly male related issues that only men experience that can be alleviated to varying degrees through BSR. Formerly known as ‘Text Neck’, the term ‘Tech Neck’ has been widened to describe injury caused by young people leaning over their books, phone texting, gaming or working on iPads or laptops below their eye level. It's everyday postural behavior we don't think about, but I deal with the effects often in my practice when clients complain of back discomfort.

Carrying a wallet in your back pocket may have some unexpected consequences on your posture and overall physical health.
When you sit or stand with a bulky wallet in your back pocket, it may cause your hips to tilt, which in turn may lead to a curvature of the spine and put strain on your lower back. This may result in discomfort, poor posture, and even long-term issues like sciatica or herniated discs.
Additionally, the constant pressure on your glutes and thighs may lead to muscle imbalance and discomfort. It's wise to consider alternative storage options, such as a front pocket or a wallet clip, to avoid these potential problems and maintain a healthy, balanced posture.

The effect of BSR is to improve the communication between the brain and the cells of the body, thereby assisting the body to restore normal function. Over the years we have observed how this is an ongoing process and thus the technique practices the following guidelines with regards to sessions:

Three Initial sessions are needed to experience the full benefit of BSR.

1) Intensive Phase – Essential / Required
Day 1, Day 4, (possibly Day 7) and Day 11
This is to address the immediate reason for attending BSR – Pain, discomfort, postural distortion, headaches, emotional stress etc.

2) Subsequent Phase - Recommended
Once every week or every second week (depending on individual case requirements)
This Phase is to continue unlocking stored tension / body stress at deeper levels as the body returns to an optimal state of well-being.

3) Maintenance Phase – Your commitment to your health and well-being
Once every 3 weeks, monthly or every 6 weeks
On-going health maintenance – Most people honour the principle of prevention when it comes to their car, ensuring that it is serviced on a regular basis. We would be wise to give our bodies the same consideration and attend regular sessions of BSR to assist the body in maintaining optimal health.
