🌿 A reassuring reminder of how powerful small changes can be…

A recent study explored a simple but important question:
"Can the way we eat influence how long - and how well - we live?"

✨ The findings were quite remarkable....

For those in their 20s, shifting towards a more nourishing way of eating could add a decade or more of healthy life. At 60, switching to an optimal diet could add around an extra 8 healthy years. Even later in life, the impact remains meaningful - with potential gains in both longevity and quality of life.

💚 It’s powerful reminder that what we choose each day can shape how we feel, now and in the years ahead.

If this resonates with you, there’s a beautiful (free) resource you might enjoy 🌿

It includes a simple guide to foods that support longevity, along with access to the 2026 Docuseries, which begins tomorrow, Wednesday 22 April. The series brings together a range of experts sharing insights into nutrition, lifestyle and long-term wellbeing (for us and for the planet).

Something to explore 🌿

Chronic inflammation is something many of us are navigating quietly in the background of daily life. When it’s supported and gently reduced, this can make a meaningful difference - in how we feel, how we think, and how our bodies recover and function.

There are certain foods that can help support the body in calming inflammation, and I’d love to share a simple, accessible guide that highlights seven of these in a practical way.

If it feels like something you’d like to explore, you’re warmly invited to take a look here (it's a free resource):
https://summit.foodrevolution.org/anti-inflammation/?uid=30&oid=3&affid=590

Alongside the guide, you’ll also receive access to the 2026 Food Revolution Summit Docuseries - a thoughtful series of conversations around food, health and wellbeing.

As a certified Food Revolution Network Plant-Based Coach, I really value the beautiful balance of heart and science in their work.

Hi lovely people 🌿

I wanted to share something special with you - from a movement I really trust and value.

I’ve been following Food Revolution Network (FRN) for many years, and I love their combination of solid science and genuine care. I also completed my coaching course through them in 2024, which made me appreciate their work even more.

They’re hosting a free online event starting 22 April:
'The Food Revolution Summit: The Science of Food and Wellness'

It brings together a range of credible doctors, scientists, and nutrition experts, sharing evidence-based insights on topics like cancer prevention, heart health, inflammation, longevity, and more.

In a world where there’s so much confusing and conflicting health advice, I’ve found FRN’s approach really grounded and trustworthy.

You don’t need to watch everything - you can just dip into the sessions that interest you most.

You can join for free here:

I hope you find it helpful and inspiring 💚

A gentle invitation to pause 🌿

I’ve shared a simple grounding routine on the website - something you can return to when life feels a little full or overwhelming.

Even a few quiet minutes in nature can help bring a sense of calm and balance back to the body and mind.

You’re warmly invited to take a look:

A simple grounding routine to calm the body and mind In our busy, modern lives, it’s easy to feel disconnected – from nature, from our bodies, and even from a sense of calm. One of the simplest ways to restore balance is something we often overlook: grounding. Grounding (also called earthing) is...

Time doesn’t have to speed up as we age - when we seek new experiences and stay curious, we create richer memories. Life on autopilot can feel short - but a life of growth and novelty can make eighty years feel like two hundred 💫

When you’re five years old, a single year represents 20% of your entire life, but at fifty, it accounts for just 2%, which helps explain why time feels like it speeds up as we age.
This idea, often referred to as Janet’s Law, suggests that by the age of twenty, you’ve already lived roughly half of your perceived life.
In other words, a summer holiday at five can feel as long as the entire decade from forty to fifty.
However, this acceleration of time isn’t inevitable—having agency and seeking new experiences can slow it down by creating richer, more lasting memories.
If you live on autopilot, life may feel short and compressed, but if you actively pursue growth and novelty, your eighty years can feel like two hundred.

Have you watched 'Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones' on Netflix yet? 🩵

It’s a beautiful and inspiring series that explores communities around the world where people live long, vibrant, connected lives - not through extremes, but through simple, nourishing daily rhythms.

I’ve shared a new article reflecting on the series and the gentle lessons it offers for our own wellbeing.

It’s a lovely reminder that longevity isn’t something we need to chase - it grows naturally from the way we live each day 🌿

If you’ve watched it - or if you do - I’d love to hear what resonated most with you.

Longevity isn’t built through extremes or willpower - it’s cultivated through simple, consistent habits supported by our environment 🌿✨

The Blue Zones research beautifully reflects what we know in lifestyle medicine: that food, natural movement, connection and purpose beautifully shape the way we age.

If you’re leaning toward sustainable wellbeing this year, this series is a thoughtful and inspiring place to begin 🌍💛

Forget grandiose new years resolutions! Come February, willpower has mostly fallen by the wayside, and for good reason: 2026 is your year to replace die-hard resolutions with simple diet and lifestyle shifts supported by your environment that can have lasting power—adding years to your life, and life to your years.

How to begin? Sit back, relax, and tune-in to docuseries Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones. You'll travel around the world with Dan Buettner to discover five unique communities where people live extraordinarily long and vibrant lives.

In the early 2000s, Dan Buettner collaborated with National Geographic to reverse-engineer a formula for longevity. He scoured the globe for years in pursuit of places where people live much longer than average, and the concept of blue zones came to fruition. To date, the expeditions unveiled Okinawa, Japan; Sardinia, Italy; Ikaria, Greece; Nicoya, Costa Rica; and Loma Linda, California, as blue zones with the highest rates of living centenarians.

These five spots share some similar elements — a plant-based diet, natural movement, and putting family first — that have been proven to promote longevity and health in residents.

Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones takes members around the world to investigate the diet and lifestyles of those living the longest lives. Explore the original blue zones, be immersed in their culture and lifestyles, and see how Blue Zones is applying the research in communities across the United States. Buettner offers insight on how to benefit from following at least some of their leads, because the only thing better than looking good as you age, is feeling good as you age.
