Its a full month with The Trampoline Squad in Moreleta Park!
So here’s my update.
I have been rebounding on and off for a few months and Ive learned that different instructors and clubs bring their own pace, music taste and different crowd.

Trampoline squad in Moreleta is the Bounce baby of Jani who’s since opened 3 clubs around Pretoria East. All the instructors are young women which is great because you can mess up and try again comfortably. The music taste was at first questionable but we’re making progress, Good music goes a long way when working out.

Ive done a review on rebounding before so I will say, the pace here is a bit faster - BUT WHAT ELSE COULD AN ENERGIZER BUNNY LIKE ME ASK FOR, I need the push, I need things to be a little uphill or why bother?

Just to be clear; Yes,it is beginner friendly and the routines can be moderated to suit whatever level you’re at and Kids are also welcome. The fun (for me) is being able to finish a routine I was convinced I wouldn’t make it through.

We headed up the cable car for a spontaneous low cloud mission and ended up hiking down India Venster. This hike is rated difficult as it’s exposed and steep in sections and not a recommended route for going down but Mike frequently runs up that route so I wasn’t too fazed. I would definitely not recommend first timers doing it alone as Cape Town weather is unpredictable and with the climbs, sheer drops and the big chance of going off the path it might not be a good idea.

It does however have stunning views so if you want to experience it but you are a beginner check out a local guide like 👌

I value having a good training coach, how do they always know when to tell you to breathe?!

Fit & Functional Summerstrand
I spent 24 classes learning balance, coordination and with all the high-knees and ankle-ball taps I got cosy enough to order a bikini -served me well too.

The studio I joined in September was not the studio I walked out of in November and I mean this quite literally. Jen and Lisa’s rebounding studio didn’t just grow in number but their training styles and HIIT workouts became more challenging.

So is rebounding just bouncing on the trampoline?
I wish!

The trampoline is your mat, your base point. A little hop gives you more of a challenge and repeatedly done, you’re bound to break a sweat in 45sec. My favorite workouts included dumbbells because since crossfit I see the benefits of strength training. Other exercises incorporate a ball, training rubber bands, and the rebounder itself (don’t try imagine it, just go try it out).

To the mommy-daughter duos, couples, the vivacious women and especially to the men that walked out having a slice of humble-pie I thank you all for making this experience a flavourful one. 2022 I’ll be fiddling around with more activities in Port Elizabeth, this was the perfect start to the friendly city.
