Western Province Netball has become synonymous with leading the way in recognizing and developing the talent and all round skills and attributes required to become a world-class athlete and Netball player. At the Western Province Netball Academy we believe that anyone can achieve their goals with determination, passion and commitment. We accommodate for the many talented young Netball players and help them to play at their highest level possible, with the chance of pursuing a professional career in Netball. The programme provides a holistic approach to the sport through training, sports psychology and athletic conditioning. Included in the program:
• A full time professional Netball athlete program
• A full time athlete development program, involving SAQ
• Conditioning, psychology and analysis
• Medical and rehabilitation support
The WPNA works in connection with the Athlete Development Centre. The ADC is dedicated to helping the WPNA academy reach their potential through a range of services and technologies. It is also home to the prestigious Western Province Rugby Academy and the Western Province Hockey Academy. Both academies have seen past athletes scouted for teams provincially, nationally, and internationally, and the Netball academy aspires to have the same success.
