Advanced Health provides day surgery services through a network of day hospitals across South Africa

Advanced Health strives to be the industry leader in the provision of day surgery services through its network of day hospitals, inspiring confidence by focusing on the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. Day hospitals are modern healthcare facilities providing short-procedure surgical services and diagnostic procedures which need to be performed in a sterile environment on a same-day basis. As a result of advanced surgical and anaesthetic technologies, more than 60% of all surgical interventions can be performed on a same-day basis in day hospitals. Day hospitals are modern, compact and equipped and staffed to render same-day procedures efficiently, with a strong focus on the quality of surgical outcomes at extremely competitive rates for patients and medical schemes. All day-hospital developments are based on the company’s business model, in terms of which facilities are developed in partnership with participating medical practitioners to ensure that medical quality and technology objectives are met, with Advanced adding value by concentrating on overall management, staff and increased efficiencies through central services such as information technology and accounting services.

🎊 Celebrating Milestones – When Commitment Transforms into Action 🎊

We recently had the privilege of attending a special ceremony hosted by BSI at RCI in Cape Town, where we officially received our ISO 7101 certification.

During the event, our hospital managers were presented with certificates for their respective hospitals – a meaningful recognition of the dedication, discipline, and hard work required to achieve ISO 7101 compliance.

Our Managing Director, Bibi Goss-Ross, and CEO, Jacques du Plessis, shared heartfelt reflections and gratitude, acknowledging the collective effort that made this remarkable milestone possible. Being the first day hospital group in Africa to achieve this certification is an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

For us, ISO is not about ticking boxes. It represents a commitment to embedding practical, measurable standards that enhance the experience and outcomes for our staff, patients, and doctors every day

Over the last decade, Advanced has served the Worcester community. It is most notably the staff who bring their heart and soul into the care they provide each day that have the biggest impact. During this time, there were 22,126 theatre cases performed. Each case represents a patient who needs comfort and care, family members and loved ones who need guidance and reassurance, and last but not least, doctors who need support so they can provide the care and healing they are so passionate about.
