Glucochon - Cartilage Assist 🦵🤚🕺

Both Glucosamine and Chondroitin are constituents of cartilage:
Glucosamine being an amino sugar.
Chondroitin being a complex sugar molecule.

Glucosamine plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy cartilage, being a building block for glycosaminoglycans (GAG’s), the structural components of cartilage. GAGs in turn play a major role in the synthesis of synovial fluid, synovial fluid which lubricates joints

Chondroitin also plays an important role in cartilage maintenance by:
Helping cartilage to retain water, giving it elasticity and potentially inhibiting enzymes that break down cartilage.
Chondroitin is a building block of articular cartilage, the type of cartilage covering the ends of bones in joints.

Supplementation with Glucosamine Sulphate combined with Chondroitin sulphate may relieve pain and stiffness associated with Osteoarthritis in particular OA of the knee joints.

This reduction in OA pain and stiffness can be explained by a dual mechanism:
One being that Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplementation stimulate the anabolic process (process of buildup of complex molecules) of cartilage metabolism,
Secondly that the anti–inflammatory actions of both Glucosamine and Chondroitin delay inflammatory – induced catabolic processes (process of breakdown of complex molecules). These two mechanisms do the following:
Slows down the progression of cartilage destruction.
May help regenerate the joint structure which in turn leads to reduced pain and increased mobility in the joint affected by OA.
