Complimenting the antioxidants in the NADplus+ Complex, is the addition of vitamin C.
🍓How vitamin C works with other antioxidants:
- Regenerates vitamin E: vitamin C can reduce oxidised vitamin E back to its active, radical-scavenging form. This allows vitamin E to continue protecting lipid structures in cell membranes.
- Direct free radical scavenging: As an electron donor, vitamin C directly neutralises harmful free radicals by donating an electron to them.
- Activates intracellular systems: vitamin C stimulates the expression of genes for antioxidant proteins by activating transcription factors, which are proteins that regulate gene expression.
- Supports antioxidant enzyme synthesis: It stimulates the synthesis and activation of key antioxidant enzymes.
