On March 14 the world will celebrate ππ¨π«π₯π ππ’ππ§ππ² πππ². The aim is to increase awareness of kidney health and disease and encourage governments, health systems, industry, and communities to collaborate to prioritize prevention, early detection, and access to and timely management of kidney disease. This starts with strengthening public awareness campaigns to encourage early detection and preventive care, ultimately reducing the need for hospital-based interventions.
One aim is to highlight important lifestyle factors to promote kidney health. These include maintenance of regular physical activity and healthy nutrition, maintaining a healthy body weight, drinking enough fluids, not smoking, and checking and controlling blood sugar and blood pressure.
