Meet Kelsey! Kelsey is our yoga teacher for the Pretoria East area.
Hi, my name is Kelsey, and I am the mother of a very busy toddler. My journey with yoga started when I was pregnant and was struggling to adjust to the extra weight I was carrying. I started with basic online lessons and soon I found myself feeling better than I ever felt, physically and emotionally. I learned to be more in tune with my body, listening to where my aches and pains were coming from, and I began strengthening and healing myself through yoga. This experience taught me the power in holistic healing, and I believe that teaching little children to be more in tune with their bodies and their emotions will give them the skills they need to face the big challenges of becoming a well-balanced adult. As I raise my boy in this busy world full of distractions and instant gratification, I feel passionate about teaching him the principles learnt through practicing regular yoga and mindfulness. After completing courses in child yoga and researching early development, I carefully put together the Sunshine Kids Yoga and Mindfulness program for children between the ages of 2 - 6 years old. I am so excited to share this program with the world and help raise an aware and loving generation.
