Good posture isn’t just about looking confident; it’s about keeping your spine healthy and your body moving freely.

Chiropractors know that small daily habits can make a big difference:

• Keep your shoulders back and relaxed
• Align your ears over your shoulders when sitting or standing
• Take regular breaks from sitting - stretch and move!
• Support your lower back with proper seating
• Strengthen your core to help maintain natural spinal curves.

Your spine supports your entire body - treat it well!

If you experience pain or discomfort, a CASA-registered chiropractor can guide you with personalised advice and exercises to improve your posture and prevent future issues.

Your spine, your health, your posture. Choose chiropractic first.

My chiropractor clicks my back, so why can’t I just do it myself?

Or better yet, get a friend or family member to do it for me.

Chiropractors are extensively trained in the art of adjustments.

They study for many years to learn safe and effective methods to administer such treatment. By getting your friends or family to “click” your back you are putting yourself at risk of injury.

Here are some reasons why you should only be adjusted by a licensed professional:
1. They have received their education and training at a registered tertiary institution such as DUT or UJ.
2. You will receive the correct assessment and diagnosis of the problem at hand.
3. They will assess the necessary contra-indications for manipulative therapy and the safety based on the above findings.
4. You will receive follow-up care that is formulated specifically for you and your problem.

While family and friends may mean well, they typically lack the specialised training and knowledge required to perform safe and effective adjustments.

This could lead to unintended consequences, such as muscle strain, joint injury, or exacerbation of an underlying condition.

It’s always advisable to consult a registered chiropractor who can assess your specific needs, provide an accurate diagnosis, and deliver appropriate care based on their expertise and training.

treatment option for neuromusculoskeletal problems, anyone can enjoy the myriad of benefits that chiropractic care has to offer.

This includes:

• Office workers who tend to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time in the day
• Factory workers who may spend a lot of their time lifting heavy objects
• The elderly who have years of wear and tear on the body
• Athletes who suffer sports injuries.

Is chiropractic care safe for children and the elderly?

Yes! Chiropractic care is tailored to suit the age, size, and health condition of each individual.

For children, adjustments are gentle and modified for growing bodies.
For older adults, care is low-force and carefully adapted to manage age-related conditions like arthritis, joint stiffness, and reduced
mobility.

Every spine deserves support, at every stage of life.

Boost your magnesium intake for better spinal health!

Magnesium is a vital mineral that helps relax muscles, reduce inflammation, and promote nerve function - all of which play a crucial role in keeping your spine and nervous system healthy.

Why is magnesium important?
- It helps prevent muscle cramps and spasms, reducing tension around the spine
- It supports healthy bone density
- It plays a role in nerve function, helping to transmit signals from the brain to your muscles
- It contributes to overall relaxation and stress reduction, essential for spinal health

Foods rich in magnesium:
- Leafy greens (spinach, kale)
- Avocados
- Almonds and other nuts
- Bananas
- Pumpkin seeds
- Dark chocolate (in moderation!)

Incorporate these into your diet to support your body and spine, and feel the difference!
