Heart 💓 and soul went into making my new booth in our new Musgrave Park rooms. This booth will house many ears, small ones and big ones; young ones and old ones; repaired ones and new ones. Each will carry its own story, and I am privileged to be included in each and every one of them!

Looking forward to changing lives one ear at a time in 2026!

An inspiring and uplifting event that happens only once every 2 years… the with really is one of the most sought after, most well received educational, networking and motivating events I. Audiology South Africa!! We got to explore the big 5… personalities, and much about vestibular evaluation, ethics of marketing, and of course the continuation of the fight to prevent cognitive decline in our patients.

I had the privilege of being the MC for the event, which meant I got to learn about each speaker and their topic, and I really got to connect with a wonderful bunch of human beings, professionals, and colleagues!

Why do I need two ears?

11/05/2025

Think about how challenging it could be for someone with a hearing loss to hear in this type of environment!

I was on the peer in Hout Bay, Cape Town with the wind blowing, the sea noise and background speech noise, and thought to myself that this is probably one of the most challenging listening environments for people with hearing difficulties.

Please remember that even with a device, a person with hearing loss is a person with hearing loss! And there are effective strategies you can implement in order to keep communication up, and keep the conversation flowing!
