A recent study conducted by the University of the Free State (UFS) has revealed concerning findings about endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in sanitary products.

The research tested for three groups of EDCs — phthalates, bisphenols (including BPA), and parabens — and found that every pad and liner tested contained at least two of these three chemical groups.

These substances are linked to potential health risks, especially considering they come into regular contact with one of the most absorbent parts of the female body.
