SPT1 2010 Philip du Plessis Physiotherapy was founded in 2009.

As a healthy and energetic sportsman, Philip naturally retains a passion for exercise and a healthy lifestyle. This has led to his completion of the postgraduate Sports Physiotherapy course (SPT1) in 2010. A Sports Physiotherapist is a higher degreed allied health practitioner skilled in neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment. Since 2009, Philip has worked with a number of well-known and respected athletes. He also gained vast Internal Medicine & ICU experience working together with a number of specialist Physicians. In 2012, Philip attained the position of Head of the Medical Department for Premier Soccer League Club, Ajax Cape Town. It was at Ajax that he managed a team of Physiotherapists, Biokineticists & Sports Conditioning Trainers and worked hand-in-hand with a number of internationally accredited Sports Physicians & Orthopedic Surgeons. Philip has also completed a number of additional courses such as Dry Needling, Muscle Activation, Lynotherapy and Spinal Manipulation. All of the above has led to a professional who is passionate and precise.
