WELCOME TO 2022

May this year be productive, healthy (mentally and physically) and rewarding for everyone.

It's the first full week of 2022, and many of us are already feeling the "fresh start effect" which the New Year brings about. We are excited to pursue new goals and feel a renewed sense of purpose that new beginnings can bring. Still, keeping New Year's resolutions is often easier said than done, and often these resolutions are forgotten and abandoned within a few weeks.

Here are some tips which may help you

1. BE REALISTIC - make sure your goal is attainable
2. MAKE A PLAN - plan how to achieve your goal and avoid
temptation (eg not skipping the exercise class or not having that
piece of cake)
3. DONT KEEP YOUR RESOLUTION SECRET - tell friends and family
members who will be supportive and encouraging in achieving
your goals
4. KEEP TRACK - keep track of each small success and reward
yourself
5. NO GUILT - don't beat yourself up over the occasional slip
6. STICK TO YOUR GOAL AND PERSEVERE

HAPPY 2022

This year, try making a joint resolution with your significant other.

But you're probably pretty spectacular in some way, and definitely good enough in most areas of life. If ever there were a time to stop beating yourself up for being human, it is n...

Covid-19 has brought many changes to people's lives. Even grief and bereavement are different and more difficult than ever before. Unable to attend funerals (especially if they are in a different country), adhere to religious practices where people gather to support the bereaved, and physically connect with those nearest and dearest. The bereaved feel more isolated than ever...

Grief has always been a difficult emotion in America, and the COVID crisis throws into bold relief what happens when grief has—quite literally—nowhere to go. The evidence suggests that most people summon strength and powers of reflection that far surpass their own expectations.
