GENES OR HABITS
Whatever you consume will play a critical role in which genes are activated or expressed – good or bad! Now imagine that you would like to have the good genes from your Grandfather – living long, having great eyesight, being slim and strong, never succumbing to a heart attack – the problem was, you never saw those genes of his – because he never activated them – he probably unwittingly activated the “bad” ones, by eating the wrong things – he possibly had the heart attack, had bad eyesight, and was overweight (?).
Would you choose to activate your good genes or your bad genes?
I believe that we inherit our fore fathers habits as well as their genes. If I am served animal protein for breakfast (milk and eggs), lunch (cheese and ham) and supper (roast chicken), it is highly likely that I will serve my children similar – these have become habits. For me, as a child, when things were going amiss and cheering up was required, my mom would have tea and biscuits/cake; and if things were happy and light, tea and cake was served as well, to celebrate. (Bless her!). These are the kinds of habits I absorbed – they became so entrenched that I eventually developed a sugar sensitive personality and had I not put a halt to this habit, weight gain, arthritis, cancer, moodiness and other family diseases would have continued. My mother died of breast cancer (was riddled with cancer).
