The occupational standards of the Professional Bodyguard Association are intended as a high level strategic overview for the competencies required to fulfil the tasks required in our profession. Our internationally accredited training syllabi is accepted by the UK Security Industry Authority as being a gateway to achieving a nationally recognised qualification that is respected worldwide.
Originally founded in 1985 the PBA was formed into a non-profit corporate body in 2008 and today is embodied by internationally adept specialists from a variety of backgrounds including Government Intelligence, Military and Police services who are now working in the Private Security Sector.
The Professional Bodyguard Association stakes its reputation on the ability to source and deliver bespoke security solutions and where required, training curricula to a wide range of organizations and individuals in both the private and public sectors operating worldwide. The PBA became an accredited centre with Pearson Education in Jan 2006 authorised to deliver all our BTEC training courses internationally.
The PBA is committed to delivering high quality bespoke service based on trust and mutual understanding. We envisage that through collaborating with industry stakeholders at all levels we will influence the general trends in industry and achieve a mutual objective, which is continued professional development.
