Acid-blocking pills for reflux suppress acid so you don’t get reflux. But this is important to know.

If you run low on stomach acid, you will experience those symptoms above due to your inability to extract minerals from your foods.

You see, stomach acid is necessary to get minerals and nutrients out of your food, and into your cells.

New Study: Aspartame Sweetener May Disrupt Blood Vessels, Raising Stroke Risk. Aspartame—the artificial sweetener found in everything from Diet Coke and sugar-free chewing gum to children’s medications—may raise the risk of the most common type of stroke by causing inflammation and disrupting blood vessel health and blood flow, according to a first-of-its-kind study published in Scientific Reports. The findings add to longstanding concerns about the sugar substitute’s impacts on the brain and heart. “Given that aspartame is one of the most pervasive artificial sweeteners used in the global food industry, its cumulative effects from long-term, low-dose exposure may indirectly affect cerebrovascular [brain blood vessel] health through metabolic interference,” the researchers said. Aspartame—also marketed as NutraSweet, Equal, Sugar Twin, and AminoSweet—is up to 200 times sweeter than sugar and promoted as a way to cut calories and sugar intake, especially for people with diabetes. Other studies have linked aspartame consumption to chronic diseases, weight gain, and even aggressive brain cancer.

They told us aspartame, which is genetically engineered, was safe when they brought it to market in 1974. Here we are 50 years later and despite the fact that peer-reviewed studies have linked this GMO fake sweetener to a long list of worrying health problems, it's still on the market. More and more substances created with Synthetic Biology (SynBio, for short, and also called “precision fermentation”) are being brought to market, all with no safety testing. The GMO fake-meat Impossible Burger, made by the company Impossible Foods, contains new proteins never before consumed in the human diet was created with SynBio. New GMO fake ice creams are entering the market with no labeling (Graeter’s Perfect Indulgence, Brave Robot and Nick’s are a few that use Perfect Day’s GMO synthetic dairy protein). We have synthetic vanilla, synthetic vitamins such as "Quatrefolic" (GMO folate) and many more substances in our food supply that are flying under the radar. This leads us to ask: Will it take us another 50 years to document the devastating health problems created by these GMO fake foods? Do yourself a favor. Avoid all of that junk today, so you don’t get a disease later.

Did you know research suggests chemotherapy may in some cases promote metastasis and aggressive tumors?

Mechanisms Explained:

1. Tumor Microenvironment of Metastasis (TMEM) Sites: Chemotherapy (e.g., paclitaxel) can increase TMEM structures, which act as gateways for cancer cells to enter the bloodstream, aiding metastasis.

2. Inflammation: Chemotherapy triggers inflammatory responses, recruiting immune cells like macrophages that may support cancer cell survival and spread.

3. Exosome Release: Tumors under chemotherapy release exosomes (tiny vesicles) with proteins that prepare distant organs for cancer cell colonization.

4. Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT): Chemotherapy can induce EMT, making cancer cells more invasive and metastatic.

5. Altered Tissue Environments: Chemotherapy modifies distant tissues, creating a "fertile soil" for metastatic cancer cells to grow.

Supporting Studies

8. Shaked (2016), Nature Reviews Cancer: Chemotherapy triggers host responses facilitating metastasis.

9. Gingis-Velitski et al. (2011), Cancer Research: Chemotherapy upregulates pro-metastatic factors.

10. Chang et al. (2017), Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences: Chemotherapy induces EMT, increasing invasiveness.
