🐖 Pork and the Initiate

Xitsonga:Nyama ya nghuluve ni rithwasa
isiZulu:Inyama yengulube neThwasa
Setswana:Nama ya kolobe le morutwana wa moya

Pork is heavy and rich in protein and fat. Scientifically, it takes hours to digest, demanding strong stomach acid and enzymes. Proteins are broken into amino acids, fats into fatty acids, nutrients enter the blood, and your body produces heat and energy — this is the fire inside you, the first layer.

Spiritually, this fire is more than digestion. It is the inner flame of transformation, the same flame an initiate must cultivate. When balanced, it fuels focus, clarity, and resilience. But when overstimulated, it becomes a wild blaze:

* It clouds judgment, making you restless and impulsive.
* It overheats the blood, stirring anger and imbalance.
* It can disconnect you from the guidance of your elders and ancestors.

The elders warn: a *rithwasa* (initiate) must honor this fire. Eat lightly, move with intention, and let the flame grow steady, not chaotic. The body and spirit are linked — what feeds your stomach also feeds your soul.

💭 Question: Have you felt your inner fire rise after heavy meat? How did it affect your calm and focus? Share your story below 👇🏽

Morning meditation:

Find a quite place where you will not be disturbed for about 15 Min .

Sit or lie down with your back straight and supported .

Take a deep breath in through your nose , count to 4 in your head , hold the breath for a count of 7 , and breathe out , through the mouth for the count of 8 .

Do the 4-7-8 breath until your whole body feels heavy and relaxed .

Don't try to quite the mind , just flow with it . Acknowledge whatever thought that pops up in your mind , knowing that you can get deep into that thought after meditation.

When your body feels relaxed . You can now return to normal breath .

Don't force anything your body knows what to do.

Your normal breathing should be for about two minutes, then , breathe in through the nose for a count of 4 , hold for a count of 4 , breathe out through the nose for a count of 4 , hold for a count of 4 then repeat ( box breathing 4-4-4-4)

Do this for a couple of rounds then allow your breath to return to normal.

Lastly, use one of your fingers to hold down your right nostril while you breathe in through the left one , then another finger to do the same to the left nostril as you breathe out through the right one . Interchange the nostril evenly.

Allow your breath to return to normal and affirm your day .

"I am grateful for the small things ,big things and everything in between "

"Kelebogela tsedinnye, tse tona, letsotlhe tse dileng magareng "

"Ni khensela swintsongo , swo domva, ni hikwaso swa le xikari "

Inkomo 👏🏿👏🏿

You don't need prayer when you wake up !! You need meditation, you need to be aware of your thoughts, you need to breathe life into your body . You need mental focus ‼️‼️
