It's all about consistency! Turning something into a routine that fits your schedule so it becomes natural and not forced.
For me, my journey started when my inflammation was at an all-time high and nothing was working. My autoimmune was hammering my body big time and I was at my wit's end as my eyelids were even inflamed which was causing a lot of pressure.. I had nothing to lose so I started the exercises a while ago and then realised I needed to know more, so I started studying and found out that the videos I had been watching online weren't all correct and missed out quite a significant bit of the exercises and warm-ups needed. I was doing a lot of them wrong because I was sure the videos online were correct (fool me right) and I didn't realise that I could have caused more issues and hurt myself. So I passed my exams with distinctions and became a practitioner.
From then on I just kept learning new techniques including gua sha and cupping and created my own routine incorporating them with mindfulness. So latest picture update is below (when I started I forgot to take pics) So you can just imagine what my skin was like before.
I also keep a beautiful affirmation card that my sister got me when I was about to have my bilateral mastectomies, all those years ago.. It reinforces my mindset every day. Do you have anything positive you read every day? Mixing positive affirmations and self care is a fabulous way to retrain your subconscious.
