FACTS:

Early detection saves lives. When caught early, the survival rate is over 90%!

It affects everyone. While it's more common in women, men can also get breast cancer.

MYTHS:

""Only women with a family history are at risk."" FALSE! Most people diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history of it.

""All breast lumps are cancerous."" FALSE! The majority are benign, but you should always have any lump checked by a doctor.

""Antiperspirants cause breast cancer."" FALSE! There is no scientific evidence to support this claim.

Hallo Hoedspruit!

My name is Chrisna.
I am an Occupational therapist with a post graduate qualification in Hand Therapy. I have been an Occupational Therapist for 23 years of which 11 was spent working for the government or overseas, and 12 years in private practice.
My practice treats hand- and forearm injuries or syndromes as well as oedema of the upper limb . We also treat post-surgical scars, as well as burn- lesions of the entire body.
In addition, our Ergoscience and PGAP accreditations allow us to perform work assessments and functional capacity evaluations to determine and facilitate the potential to return to work, after injuries or illness.

I started my private practice in Nelspruit Mediclinic and now have the wonderful opportunity to expand to Hoedspruit! I work alongside my husband Marius, who is an Orthotist/ Prosthetist and together we strive to treat and support clients in need.
We have 2 beautiful teenagers who enjoy the Bushveld with the same passion as we do.

We are all very excited for our future in Hoedspruit- thank you for the warm way in which we have been welcomed.
