To all my clients may you all be blessed, travel safely and have a wonderful holiday season. I am truly grateful to each one of you for your support and enthusiasm during the year. After having to start my break rather earlier than I had planned, I am delighted to say that I am ready to get back into the swing of things in the New Year with workshops, talks, consulting and assisting you with your gardens. It sure has been a year of challenges for everyone in so many ways, and we have had to make a plan, often make many changes and often many have been totally overwhelmed by the chaos in their lives. So as the year draws to an end I would like to wish you all, all the best for the New Year and leave you with these two quotes.

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or just starting out, our workshops are perfect for you and you can book for your gardeners too! House of Organics Workshops can be done in any sequence. I also do private consulting on your property and we can start your food gardens for you too! Join us for our upcoming workshops held in our urban food garden in Howick, KZN.

MODULE 3: Planting of seeds, seedling, transplanting, mulching, caring for your crops, crop rotation, succession planting, container gardening, harvesting of crops, harvesting and saving seeds. You will receive some heirloom seeds to take home and plant. This is a practical hands on workshop, held in the garden and you will receive a flipfile of notes to take home to refer back to. TUNNEL MAKING WORKSHOP
Join us at House of Organics, Howick for our tunnel making workshop in our organic urban food garden.
Norma Bode will discuss the why, how and where to put up tunnels and various materials that can be used and different designs. Giving you tips on what to look out for to use to reduce costs and using resources available to you. All attendees will get actively involved in putting up the tunnel/s of the day, where we will make at least one tunnel from start to finish. A list of all materials used will be given together with measurements of each material used. Equipping you with all you need to know to go put up your own tunnels at home with no wastage. Bring your snack/lunch, water bottle, note book or pad, pen and dress accordingly for the weather. Booking is essential as spaces are limited and payment secures your booking.
If you book for more than 1 person you will get a discount per person.

Hay what's going on!!! Spring has sprung and there is much to be done. Please note that if you can't make any of the advertised dates, you can do the modules in any order, as each one is required for a full understanding of how to grow correctly. If you would prefer week days please let me know, this can be arranged. I can do workshops in your garden if that suits you better and I do consulting and oversee the set up of your gardens too. Understanding soils, soil nutrition, the importance of compost, making compost heaps, worm towers, earthworm farms in-situ, liquid manures, Irrigation and waterwise methods.
