At Art Muse Collective, we don’t just make art - we create immersive experiences that feed your soul and senses. One of the highlights of our 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 is a very special 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at Stirlings at The Ibis Lounge, hosted by the talented Chef Barbara Weitz.

𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝘁𝘇 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗳, co-owner of The Ibis Lounge in Nieu-Bethesda, and a culinary visionary.  Her food is deeply rooted in the Karoo landscape - incorporating locally foraged herbs and seasonal ingredients, bringing the spirit of the veld to every plate.  According to guests, her 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘂 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 “𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹,” inspired by local ingredients, wilderness traditions, and soulful stories.

• Plates beautifully presented, each course telling its own Karoo story. 

• Seasonal, foraged, and sustainable ingredients - a true culinary journey through this wild, soulful landscape.

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗵!

We were lucky that the BirdStreet Campus Art Department graciously welcomed us into their fascinating 3D 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 - what an eye-opening look into the creative process! Followed by a quick visit to Art on Target for their “Same Size, Same Price, No Signature” Art Exhibition. ART on Target

We also explored the striking 𝗨𝗻(𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱) 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 at The Labyrinth Project, and visited the always-inspiring GFI Gallery with a joint exhibition “𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀” by Bev de Lange & nomThumzi Mashalaba.

We are always in awe of the beautiful creations and share in the joy of “I made this!”.

This hands-on experience is not for the faint hearted, asking you to pour yourself into clay for an intense 5 days.

Join us on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 for the public exhibition of works created during Art Muse Collective’s 2nd annual 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 in Nieu-Bethesda, led by facilitating artist Dina Grobler.

These unfired clay sculptures by participants are a celebration of raw creativity, storytelling, and form — shaped by hand, heart, and the soulful stillness of the Karoo. Each piece is a moment captured in clay, before it’s fired, in its most honest and vulnerable form.
