We are an innovative facility offering residential and non-residential therapeutic programs that can be tailor-made to suit the individuals need. A New Reality focuses mainly on substance abuse and misuse, drug addiction, and alcoholism, however we also believe that many issues society faces are inter-linked. HIV-related issues, negative body image and eating disorders, self-harm, depression and anxiety, sexual shame and abuse, risky behaviour and depression and anxiety, for example. We have aligned with Akeso to support our dual-diagnosis sector. We intend to have an adolescent program in the future, and are absolutely gay friendly and non-denominational. We operate on a client-driven ethos, where we aim to uplift the individual and their entire lives with compassion, nurturing and collaboration. We do not shame, degrade or discriminate against our clients and aim to revolutionise the treatment world. Due to the systemic approach that A New Reality supports, where it is not only the client but all facets of their lives which are focused on, we believe that it is imperative that individual in treatment receives support from the workplace, family, etc. In turn, these often ignored individuals receive full support from A New Reality's program, too. This co-active model is a collaboration between the employee and the employer, the family and the individual in treatment, which will benefit the whole system, creating sustainable change. We have set-up a CSI Initiative in order to effectively reach the target community we hope to uplift. Funds will be used to help those who have afford a treatment program or to get back on their feet, which is often a daunting task for many whose addictions have left them without any funds, support, or way to make their dreams a reality. The cyclical nature of this affliction is that those who wish to find their way to a new life are often trapped back into the system which nurtured their habit in the first place, just to make ends meet. For this reason we are setting up a trust to support whomever needs the leg up to make something of their lives. In turn, they will “pay it forward” by giving back to the organisation which supported them. This initiative is called 'Cooked' (check out our page)
