Psychotherapy: The Little Red Riding Hood Reconditioning Technique (LRRH)

Debbie Howes, Clinical Psychologist, has developed a projective drawing and story-telling therapeutic technique that addresses the unconscious mind via the principles of Eriksonian and Ego State hypnotherapy as well as Medical Hypnoanalysis. According to the principles of medical hypnotherapy, the logic of the unconscious mind is that of a child. It is for this reason that most of the information that we, as adults, have in the conscious mind, does not ‘sink’ in to the unconscious mind. By addressing the unconscious, 'child' logic of an individual, this information can integrate and be made available for the decision-making or education processes that determine around 80% of our functioning in life. This enables the many addictive and sabotaging, self-defeating cycles which are at the core of most problems, to be cleared and released. Based upon the archetypal characters of the Little Red Riding Hood children's story, i.e. the innocent Child (Little Red Riding Hood), the nurturing, loving female aspect (Granny) and the assertive, protective male aspect (Woodcutter), the technique is extraordinarily effective in the treatment of trauma, addiction, OCD, depression and many other conditions.
