Silver Fox Fitness for the Regular "Older"  Guy This is all about fitness , strength , conditioning and just making these objectives as realistic as possible for regular guys over 50.

You can be fit at any age . Do not let age define who you are and defintely not limit your dreams and expectations. This is a page for men who fall into the age category of 40 years plus. Not to say men under the age of 40 will not benefit as well because there are way too many men under the age of 40 who need to change their lifestyles and rediscover some of the energy they had as teenagers. But

I just feel men over the age of 40 & 50 will be able to relate a little better

There are many different sources of information about weight training , bodybuilding , strength and conditioning available . I should know because for the past 34 years I have used these exact sources plus many more to do the various sports I love and more importantly live by. But for many men who suddenly realize that they want to turn back the clock a few years and regain some of the fitness, vigour and energy they took for granted in their twenties , less so in their thirties and even less in their forties , and virtually zero in their fifties it just seems to be an unrealistic objective and a mountain too high to climb. I do not profess to be an expert in this field because quite frankly we are learning more and more every day , nor do I have certificates or diplomas in the field of fitness to substantiate who I am , but what I know I have learnt through 34 years of experience having played numerous sports my entire life including taking up a few relatively late such as submisson wrestling . The one constant sporting activity that I have always done alongside all the other sports is weight training not as an either or but as foundational strength training to improve my ability in all other sporting activities

I only use a handful of supplements, and I only use specific ones after I do a deep dive into them.

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Strengths you want to take advantage advantage of and weaknesses you want to expose and find ways to overcome or work around.

As a creature of habit I tend to still adopt a " uniform " and I'm always on the look out for great training and casual wear.

Yes I know not strictly legit as far as competition criteria but for now it's about increasing capacity.
I recall the first time I stood upside down against a wall in a traditional gym and how uncomfortable it felt.
I think these three movements including wall walks , pull up and toes to bar reflect the functionality of multi-dimensional training.

The simple principle of use it or lose it applies.

For most people in a crossfit box , a kettle bell is used for a few basic movements with kettlebell swings being the most common movement or as a weight bearing device for burden run or step ups.
But the kettlebell is much more then that.
It is the most versatile and efficient piece of equipment for anyone wanting to get into shape and to become lean and mean

In fact if I had to pick a single item or in this case a pair of bells it would be kettles.
Can be used to train every single muscle whether part of a body building routine or strength or conditioning.
Can be used anywhere and does not break if you settle on traditional bells .
Men stick with a weight between 20 and 32 kgs .
Ladies between 8 and 16 kgs
