𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞

I find myself humbly asking? — So can our search for 'guides'/'teachers' sometimes be a distraction? 🤔

It's tricky to walk your own path because there are so many unconscious influences.
That's why I contemplate the gift of Initiative.

The mind wants security.
It wants a defined path.
It wants a fixed teaching and technique,
While INITIATIVE is inherently creative and original, and has the urge to break new ground.

So how can you/do you follow another?
What about the words of the Buddha for example, or Nelson Mandela, or our Children,
or take any other great teachers that are great indicators of truth?

Can't we follow them? Can we trust the path of others?
Well, yes and no.

They can be an inspiration.
They can provide impetus.
They can encourage us and enthuse us, but can they lead us?
I would say no.

𝙉𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 — 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩.
It's about having the courage to trust in the direction of your own feet. It's about deepening that trust.

So what about teachings then?
Do they offer you a path really?
Personally, they don't.

They lay out the whole matrix, and simply offer you a mirror and that's what the master is.
He or she is a mirror of truth. But they can't direct you.
They can only encourage you to find your own way.

Only your intuition can show you the way forward. Hence Free will and Choice — are quite a thing!
And intuition requires subtlety...
It requires softness where you can't fall victim to harshness.

You can't be harsh on yourself. You have to have courage. You have to practice following your intuition.
And there'll be many mistakes when you don't.

No teachers, I believe, can give you that. I'm just a fellow traveler. 🌌
And every training, module, degree, course, and retreat, has demonstrated this for me: I have the utmost gratitude and reverence for all my teachers along the way, of the learning and the beauty lies in the simplicity of KNOWING that it's already in you. ALL OF IT.
