Is your so called Home/House really an Asset? or Liability?
I hear so many times by people who are Educated and have money that "Our home is our largest investment and our greatest asset. “But i need you to believe this part "My house is a liability, and if your house is your largest investment, you're in trouble."
The Perfect House of your Dreams will never belong to you only, evens if you done all payments and you owe no bank on your Perfect Home, but the truth of the matter is that the Govenment will always own half or part of your Perfect Home, did you ever take a moment and ask your self this 1 question about your Perfect Home? How much money did i spend in maintaining this Home of mine, how much money did i spend over the who knows many years living in it.
The fact is that when a banker says your house is an asset, they’re not really lying to you. They’re just not telling you the whole truth. While your house is an asset, they simply don’t say whose asset it is. If you read financial statements, it’s easy to see that your house is not your asset. It is the bank’s asset “An asset puts money in my pocket. A liability takes money out of my pocket.” People need to start knowing the difference. Most of them are happy to feel secure in their jobs, have a nice house they think they own, are proud of, and think they’re in control of. Nobody will take it away from them as long as they make those payments. Being financially literate and financially intelligent means being able to understand the big picture of money. Financially astute people know that a mortgage doesn’t show up as an asset, but as a liability on your balance sheet. Your mortgage actually shows up as an asset on a balance sheet across town. It shows up as an asset on the bank’s balance sheet. And that Ladies and Gentlemen is the honest truth, and just FYI if your house is fully paid up and you own the Property. Well Done but you still don’t Own that Property, Please try to not pay your Property Tax and you will see how the Government will keep you off your own Property. Land belong to the Government who run’s it and no other way just like in the days of when there were Lords and Kings
