This champ is Bob – he's just received the news that he’s now in remission! 🎉
You might remember reading his story on our page last month. Bob was diagnosed with stage five prostate cancer which had spread outside the prostate to the bones. 😥
“Great news! I’ve just finished my last round of chemotherapy for prostate cancer, and I celebrated it with a thumbprint on the Finishing Tree at the Port Macquarie Hospital Cancer Unit on Monday. 🥰
“I was diagnosed with stage 5 prostate cancer in August last year. 😟
“My first PSA count was 1300. Now, it’s down to 0.08. I’m now in remission, which is such a relief. 😃
“I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported me, nurses, my oncologist, and my sensational, very caring, supportive, and loving wife, Sue (pictured). ❤️
“Prostate cancer has probably been a blessing in disguise as it’s also encouraged me to change my diet to a low carb one and I've gone down from 115kgs to 102kgs. 💪
“I continue to walk (very slowly, like the racehorses I back), swim, sauna, and mow the lawn, which has helped a lot. I have never felt healthier! 👏
“I am now looking forward to a couple of sensible, well-managed beers. 👍
“Thanks again to everyone! You are all truly great people.” 💖
Onya Bob! We love your positivity. Thanks for inspiring us all. 💙💙
