Ubunye Group is a for-profit with mission-driven social enterprise that operates in a variety of industries in (South) Africa. We see a massive opportunity to tap into society’s biggest problems as it is key to economic and psychological growth. Our vision is to be a benchmark for an inclusive society (of the disabled) in Africa. Subsequently our mission is to “Create a specialized disabled initia

tive by means of a specialized profit generating organisations”. Employing a particular disabled group of people and providing them with excellent skills and development opportunities. Moreover allowing the business to reinvest in non-profit orientated structures focused on the reintegration; as well as provide large benefits for all stakeholders within the organization”. Its social goal is mainly directed to benefit the disabled people, starting in South Africa and on one industry inititally but also affecting other stakeholders involved with the organisation. The need was identified, as a large percentage of the South African population is disabled, but not necessarily unable to do work, but forgotten in our social environment. Through all of our initiatives and operations Ubunye’s key values should be critically satisfied, namely: Collaboration & Cooperation, Equity, Passion and Social Impact.
