π G20 Social Summit South Africa 2025
(18-20 Nov'25) β My Three-Day Journey of Engagement, Purpose and Global Connection:
Over three transformative days, I had the honour of attending and actively contributing to the G20 Social Summit South Africa 2025, a gathering that united youth leaders, civil-society actors, international organisations, policymakers, and faith communities around the shared goals of Equality, Solidarity, and Sustainability.

**DAY 1 β 18 November 2025
Inclusion, Culture & Youth-Led Inspiration**
The summit opened with vibrant cultural performances and powerful messages from South Africaβs leadership, including H.E. Paul Mashatile and the of Arts and Culture, PM G. McKenzie, emphasising the centrality of cultural expression and community engagement in building cohesive societies.
Before the formal programme, I connected with inspiring youth delegates, as well as a representative from the , who warmly encouraged active civil-society participation. These early exchanges mirrored the Summitβs first pillar: Equality β ensuring young people, diverse communities, and civil actors have a seat at the table.
I felt humbled and honoured to be part of this historic moment for South Africa and the world. πΏπ¦ππ

**DAY 2 β 19 November 2025
Faith, Justice & Community-Led Health Innovation**
β / Forum β Faith in Dialogue
The Interfaith Forum offered a deep, meaningful space to raise critical points about economic justice and fair representation.
During the Q&A, I contributed three key reflections:
1οΈβ£ Faith, Finance & Justice
I asked whether global debt-relief models β especially after the Promise was discussed β would consider perspectives on interest (riba). The recognition of this concern, particularly for vulnerable nations burdened by interest-based systems, was encouraging.
2οΈβ£ Language, & Fair Representation
I raised the problematic use of terms such as β terrorist,β noting that crimes or atrocities committed by individuals are never labelled with other religions. Although no direct answer was offered, it strengthened the call for civil society to insist that no religion be associated with terrorism β only individuals commit crimes, not faiths.
3οΈβ£ A United Interfaith Voice
I advocated for a stronger, collaborative yet independent interfaith that supports communities in times of uncertainty. Faith communities remain a vital source of identity, moral grounding, and resilience.
βοΈ Health Aid β Session:
I also joined the UNITAID session on community-driven health access.
In discussion with Dr. Oscar Esbie, I highlighted the need for recognition and support for Ethnopsychologists, Hypnotherapists, and Indigenous Health practitioners, ensuring they grow alongside conventional medicine β with equitable funding, opportunities, and legitimacy.
These engagements echoed the Summitβs second pillar: Solidarity β standing together across faiths, traditions, and health systems to uplift communities and drive holistic wellbeing.
Honoured. Humbled. Elated. SubhanAllah π€²β¨π

**DAY 3 β 20 November 2025
Leadership, Unity & A Vision for Global Dignity**
The final day was profound and unforgettable.
I was seated near former President Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and a UN delegate, creating meaningful moments of connection, inspiration, and shared purpose.
At the closing ceremony, Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a powerful and historic message:
> βNo country should be allowed to bully another country β no matter their geographical location, income level, or military capabilities.β
This bold call for global and mutual deeply resonated, perfectly aligning with the Summitβs third pillar: Sustainability β not only in environment or economics, but in peace, justice, and international relations.
β¨οΈThe atmosphere was electric, filled with insight, networking, celebration, and a collective for a more just and compassionate world.

**β¨ Final Reflection β . . .
Together We Rise πβ¨οΈπ
Across all three days, the G20 Social Summit SA 2025 embodied the transformative power of dialogue, cultural expression, interfaith unity, inclusive health systems, and global justice.
I am deeply honoured, humbled, and elated to have played a small role in shaping conversations that echo far beyond the summit β conversations rooted in humanityβs shared pursuit of:
π Equality β ensuring every voice is heard and represented.
π Solidarity β building bridges across faiths, communities, and systems.
π Sustainability β uplifting societies with dignity, justice, and long-term resilience.
By the Will of the Divine β change is coming.
And together, we rise. π€πβ¨
