Let's debunk some common myths about breastfeeding🤔

Myth 1
Research shows that pregnancy is to blame for breast changes due to hormonal and weight fluctuations.

Myth 2
When you are sick, your body will produce antibodies against the bacteria or virus that is causing your illness. These antibodies will pass through your breastmilk and protect your baby from also becoming sick.

Myth 3
Your breastmilk will change as your baby gets older to provide the best nutrition together with solid foods. Solid foods should be introduced from 6 months of age, while continuing to breastfeed.

Myth 4
The size of your breasts is not equal to the amount of breastmilk that you will produce.

Myth 5
Women who had breast surgery can still breastfeed, but they may need help from a lactation consultant to maximize their milk supply. Supply issues differ from person-to-person depending on the type of surgery and surgical technique used.

Myth 6
Your breastmilk is custom-made for your baby and contains all the nutrients, antibodies, and minerals for your baby's development while also being easier to digest, free, and available anytime, anywhere.
