Mine arbeidsområder er:
Massasje, dypt vev, sport, svensk og klassisk. Jeg har også studert Shaitsu. Jeg kombinerer alle disse teknikkene avhengig av hva som trengs for å behandle eller skjemme bort en person. Jeg har jobbet med massasje i over 15 år og har stort sett jobbet med spenning og skader eller prestasjonsidrettsutøvere. Traumeterapi ved bruk av Somatic experience utviklet av Peter Levine. Se dette for ytterligere kunnskap. Det er en kroppsbasert terapi og ikke samtaleterapi alene. Alternative terapier som sangterapi ved hjelp av planteallierte, reiki, hypnoterapi og mer. Metafysisk rådgivning for enkeltpersoner. Rådgivning med en veldig åpen bakgrunn og inkluderer det åndelige hvis ønsket. Tantra, dette er ikke sexbasert, dette handler om åpenhet for alt. Jeg har erfaring og har jobbet med seksualitet, så jeg inkluderer det i øktene mine, men med andre verktøy og også med praksis. Massage Therapy: Massage is a deep and wholeso body treatment, shown to decrease stress & blood pressure, heal injury, increase circulation & blood flow, release tension & knots, increase relaxation and promote all round healing and well being. With work and the busy life, people's bodies adapt to stress and they do not realize how much tension and pain they are carrying until they are actually exposed once again to a treatment of healing or a holiday where the body can once again to different activities and shed held tension. Massage enables the body and mind to get a much needed break, it connects a person with themselves was again and has a deep grounding effect which brings one back into presence if you allow yourself to let go. Sports men and woman need regular massage treatment to help heal the muscles and shift and move lactic acid. This benefits the muscles in helping them recover faster when training and aids in better long term management of the body with sport activities. Cancellation Policy:
If you do not cancel an appointment at least 24hrs before the appointment, you will be required to pay for the appointment. Unless you have an medical emergency. All long term Gavekorts must be used within a year from date of purchase. Different types of massages offered by me:

Deep Tissue (for sports people, deep knots & injuries)
Sports Massage (for sports people mostly)
Swedish and relaxing massage (for relaxation & stress reduction)
Aromatherapy oils can be used too if requested ahead, charge for this is additional. Shiatsu treatment - this is a japanese treatment that works on the meridian systems in the body. This treatment works the full body meridian system to release toxins, restore balance and harmony. Techniques such as stretching and breath work are used in this massage treatment. It is very different to normal massage but very clearing and healing. Shamanic Stomach Massage: This detoxifies the stomach region with deep movements in the bowls and organs. It is not the most comfortable massage but truly beneficial for the body. Helping to release tension and toxins and restore health in the body. Metaphysical counseling is the use of energetic knowledge and spiritual principles for balancing of the mind and body. It is the use of many spiritual tools to help an individual come into a better state of mind and to assist a person with their own personal problems or challenges. Awakening the feminine sessions using basic techniques to help woman come into themselves deeply, start to feel fully, begin to explore who they are as woman. This is a process of deepening and allowing the sexuality to rise and make contact. It is a beautiful process of feminine awakening and blossoming. Massage for Men

I’ve had the most beautiful feedback in the last few weeks from massages and sessions with various men.

I’ve met a few men who have really let me connect with them—who have been willing to be open and to be touched in massage.

My aim is to help them soften and connect, to allow them to feel into their own bodies and recognize who and what they are. To decompress and receive. To surrender, for once, to receiving. I don’t, of course, say this to them, but I see them.
I see the effort, the desire for something more. And when I touch a body, I honestly touch with presence and love. I allow my hands to speak to the soul, and when I press on a muscle, I am actually reaching far deeper than that—if allowed.

I find the body to be a mystery waiting to be known, and I feel into what it is saying:
how it wishes to be touched and known, what is being held inside, what it needs.
This occurs for both men and women, by the way; however, my week was more in touch with men.

The interesting part is that men are very receptive to touch and the energetic component therein when connected.
Physical touch speaks volumes to them, and having someone who allows them to open is not always available.

It is amazing to see men recognize deeper touch—
to feel the difference in their being from it, not just in the muscles.
The recognition of love in touch and that it is being given.
The gratitude for remembering how necessary it is.
The connection to the self.

I am always amazed by massage and touch.
There are often no words, but so much is communicated.

Struggling to get out of your head and de-stress?

Do you know how often people come to me for either a massage or for therapy? When I feel their bodies, there is always so much going on. Sometimes they know it, sometimes they don’t realize it until I touch them.

When people start to relax, they suddenly notice—the shoulders are tight, the neck needs care, the back is hurting. So few people take the time to get a massage regularly to maintain their body. Too often it’s seen as an excitement or a luxury to enjoy on holiday.

In the meantime, you keep using your body—to lift things, to drive, to pick up your kids, to hold a hair dryer, even just to lift yourself out of bed. This body is a machine, and it’s up to us to service it and keep it healthy and strong.

Massage has so many benefits. A proper massage connects you back to you and lands you in relaxation. It makes for the perfect gift—giving someone time out and care. (I do gift cards, by the way!) Nobody ever really regrets a massage treatment.

Maybe I’m too far away? I do house calls for a small extra charge.
Maybe there isn’t time? There is always time—60 minutes is not that long.

The Worst Symptoms of Fibromyalgia – Fibromyalgia is a disorder which is characterized when a person has musculoskeletal pain. Moreover, it includes symptoms like mood swings, memory loss, fatigue, lethargy, and insomnia.

The second most common condition which affects our bones and muscles is fibromyalgia. This disease is often misdiagnosed and even misunderstood.

Interestingly, more of the research on FM is starting to suggest that the condition is actually a central nervous system disorder, even though muscle pain is one of its primary symptoms. More specifically, evidence points to the idea that FM is a disorder of central nervous system pain processing pathways instead of a primary auto-immune disorder of the peripheral tissue, as once believed.1 “There were studies that showed the association between stressors and FM,” explains Stephen Perle, Professor of Clinical Sciences at Bridgeport University. “For example, fMRI has shown that people with FM, when exposed to non-painful stimuli, have activation of the brain in areas that are normally activated only by painful stimuli.”

Massage is a time-tested way to ease muscle pain and reduce stress. People also use massage to help improve range of motion and deal with depression and anxiety. More vigorous forms of massage may help relieve deep muscle pain from fibromyalgia.

Have you ever gotten a spasm in your back and thought now what? You stretch, take medication, try everything you can think of and it just wont go away.

Last week I have a client with this exact problem.
It took us 2 massages to figure it out, but happily I received a lovely text saying "My neck feels almost back to normal. I got a full nights sleep, Thank you so much."

I am happy every time we can solve a muscular issue in my work and bring the body back to a happy healthy space.

If it is causing you pain, then yes often my massages use trigger point work and deep tissue. It can be painful if there is a problem but the after effects in having a functioning body again are worth it every time.
I always encourage you to tell me the depth you are comfortable with so the experience is at a pace that you can manage if it is deep work.

I do offer spa type massages and enjoyable relaxing massage too with oils and hot stones. However with the warm weather hot stones are not the pick of the day at these times.

Do I need a sports massage?
Yes, you do if your doing competitive sports or high intensity sport training! You invest so much of your time and energy into your training program, coaching and sporting equipment. Why wouldn’t you invest in the one thing that makes you move - your muscles….? One of the biggest reasons to get a sports massage is to help your muscles, tendons and joints move through their optimal range of motion and subsequently leading you perform at your best!

What is a sports massage?
Sports massage is the application of goal orientated soft tissue techniques for athletes or for everyday sporting people. Sports massage is tailored to the person’s sporting needs, and targets muscle groups that are used most frequently throughout their activity. This massage is applied using specific techniques in a number of circumstances such as pre-event or post event, for maintenance as well as for injury rehabilitation.

Sports massage may assist with the following:

Enhanced performance
Injury prevention
Faster recovery
Injury care
When should I get a sports massage?
People respond to massage in different ways and have individual needs, so if you have the opportunity to try one at different times in your training program, that can then determine what is right for you.

Most sports people will tend to favour just the maintenance massages in between training sessions. However, obtaining a pre-event massage will stimulate your muscles whereas the post event massage is more of a cool down and aids in the recovery process. These additions could give you the edge over your competitors.

Let’s just take for instance someone who is competing in a triathlon in a months’ time. A triathlete should get one maintenance massage per week in the lead up to the event and then one 24 hours after the event at a minimum. That may seem extreme, but these massages should go a long way to prevent injury and help an individual to perform at their optimum.

What are the types of sports massages available and what are the benefits?

Pre-event sports massages are completed before sporting event and it should not last longer the 20mins. This massage is provided to simulate the persons muscular system and is generally done with lighter pressure.

Benefits:
Improves circulation
Stimulates maximal physical awareness
Produces psychological assistance

Post event or a recovery sports massages restore physical and mental states that have been excessively used or altered throughout a person’s sporting activity. The workload usually determines the pressure of the massage. The lighter the workload, the firmer the massage and vice versa.

Benefits:
2 to 3 times more effective then rest
Reduces muscle tension by promoting optimal resting muscle length
Assists in the removal of lactic acid build up, which contributes to soreness, stiffness, cramps and fatigue

Training or maintenance sports massages are used to relieve any body movement stresses in muscles before they become problematic. These massages can be carried out on targeted areas with firmer pressure.

Benefits:
Removes muscle tightness
Helps maintain relaxed and efficient muscles
Enhances muscle endurance

Rehabilitation massages assist with treating existing injuries for a sports person. This type of sports massage usually works in conjunction with a sports physiotherapist.

Benefits:
Assists with removal of fluid and swelling in surrounding tissues
Improves circulation and assists with healing process
Remobilises tissues which have been affected by scarring or adhesions following injury

In conclusion sports massage could be a great way to improve your overall performance, reduce muscle aches and pains and to aid recovery. There are so many benefits for sports massage, so you should consider incorporating it into your sporting routine!

Have you been on a flight recently. Those tiny seats with very little space. Your knees being whacked everytime the person in front moves heavily. Maybe your flight was super early or late and you had to try sleep on the flight in some unholy position.
Neck cranked to one side and the back paining while the legs get pins and needles from lack of movement.
Have you thought to get a massage soon after flying?
Our better yet to have one before going somewhere so your nice and relaxed and your muscles can handle the flight better?

Struggle with pains after having children. Constant picking them up or feeding in the same position. Bending over too often. There is a lot you can do to reduce pain yourself but as a new parent sometimes there is not enough time.
Can you take an hour away for some pampering for yourself.

Our Story

Hummingbird healing is a branch on facebook for our company called Holistisk Utvikling. We offer many types of treatments and therapies, ranging from mild ta**ra for feminine and masculine, to qigong, to massage and trauma therapy. We consist of 2 people who have come together to apply much of the tools we have into different therapies to assist in a variety of situations.
