Our ladies dressed up for their staff meeting today, celebrating the heritage of different cultures in our beautiful town.

The Management Committee of Ladysmith Hospice is so grateful for our clinical team under the leadership of Sr Thembi Zakwe. They care for our patients with so much compassion. Egerton Primary School Supports the Cancer Walk 🌸🎀...

Egerton Primary School is proud to be part of the upcoming Cancer Walk on Saturday, 18 October 2025.

This event is a meaningful way for our learners, parents, and the community to unite and raise awareness for an important cause.

• Scholars: R20,00

A Thoughtful Surprise from ML Sultan Primary School

Yesterday, our Frail Care residents were treated to a heartwarming surprise from the students and teachers of ML Sultan Primary School.

As part of a special outreach project, the school prepared toiletry hampers filled with essentials—and chose to share them with various organisations, including our very own Juana Maria Frail Care.

We are deeply touched that they took the time to include us in their kindness. Thank you to the learners and educators of ML Sultan for your generosity and for brightening our morning with your thoughtful visit. 🌸

A Big Thank You to Ladysmith – Hospice Hamburger Day Was a Heartwarming Success

On Saturday, 26 July 2025, the Ladysmith Hospice team hosted a heartfelt Hamburger Fundraiser — and what a truly wonderful success it turned out to be!

From early morning preparations to the final burger served, the event was filled with warmth, kindness, and that unmistakable Ladysmith spirit. The smell of sizzling patties, the joyful laughter of volunteers, and the generous support from our community made this day one to remember.

The Hospice team wishes to thank each and every one of you — from those who bought a hamburger, to the selfless volunteers who worked behind the scenes, to the businesses and individuals who spread the word. Your support doesn’t just fill tummies — it fills hearts and helps us continue our mission of providing compassionate palliative care to those facing life-threatening illnesses.

We also extend our gratitude to the local media, community leaders, and families who continue to show unwavering love
