Just a quick hunt Sat morning. I can feel summer is coming as I caught a few ticks crawling on me. Found a lovely "love token" 3 pence. With initials engraved on it. And lots of scrap. 😁😁

I cleaned up some recent finds. The printers plates are a fantastic glimpse into Victorian times. I reversed each printers plate image so you can read them. A window into days gone bye. I also liked the Boys Brigade outer buckle and the friction tube for the British 18 pounder cannon used in the Boer War.

If anyone has any idea what the contraption is for the plate that has "wood" on it, pls post in comments. Cheers

Just finished 4 days of hunting. It was the 40th Annual PE detecting comp. What an awesome competition. Thanks to Lukas and everyone who joined to make this my metal detecting highlight of the year again.

And the relics that were found did not disappoint. So many unique awesome finds. Looking forward to seeing all the cleaned up cap badges, broaches, buttons, snake buckles, coins, printers plates, cannons and so much more. 😁😁😁
