Little things that make the difference:

*WAKE UP EARLIER*

Set your alarm for maybe an hour earlier, and learn NOT to hit the snooze button. Get into this routine so you can start your day with your morning walk or run. A win is a win!

*CARDIO*

Not all of us are marathon runners, but it's imperative to get your heart rate going for about 40 minutes. An intense high incline walk will do just the job.

*WARM UP STRETCHES*

Always give your body a heads up that you are about to smash a workout or particular muscle group. This also helps relieve tension from your previous workout session.+

*STRENGTH TRAINING*

It's a common misconception that lifting weights will make you bulky. Learn that if you are eating correctly, and lift weights for strength purposes, you will gain confidence and longevity.

*GRATITUDE*

Be it in the morning or evening, take mental note of everything you are grateful for and humble yourself.

*STOP COMPARING*

Everybody is on their own journey, and comparing yourself to others is NOT healthy.

Happy Monday to everyone!

Remember to be gentle on yourself through all the storms you are weathering.

Be mindful, and remember to practice the following on a daily basis:

*DAILY AFFIRMATIONS*
*FOCUS ON EATING WHOLE FOODS*
*DO SOMETHING THAT YOU ENJOY, FOR YOURSELF. MAKE YOUR SOUL HAPPY*
*LOVE YOUR ANIMALS*

My journey has been a process of note. The catalyst was my amazingly inspiring brother, Justin Brandon Burdett. I had only the knowledge and encouragement he imparted on me. I now would like to help individuals reach their highest potential by breaking the stigma attached to fitness, particularly with regards to strength training, lifting weights and actually eating.
