If your child is feeling like a fish out of water, gasping for air every time he has to go to school and is expected day after day to climb trees when all he wants to do is get back into the ocean, and swim, then Huston we have a problem!
Know what the red flags are and what to do about them. 🐟

DO NOT THROW AWAY THOSE EMPTY FORMULA TINS!!!

Loads of opportunities to build those fine motor skills!

There will initially be a lot of frustration from your littlie, but remember to acknowledge the emotion; motivate when they feel discouraged; and encourage them to keep trying.😁🥰

Keep your eyes on our page for some more ideas on DIY development tools that you can make for your little one from things you have around your home.

A nice little activity that helps with the development of hand-eye coordination ❤️
It improves finger dexterity and helps hone fine motor skills. This helps with handwriting and using scissors. Also, it teaches cause and effect and object permanence. When he puts the shape through the hole, it disappears, but once it appears in the container below, it's still there.

Simply made from cardboard roll we had after finishing tin foil, any kind of tape and then small blocks or balls that can pass through (big enough to avoid choking though😉)

Joah absolutely loves this activity! We leave it up against the door and he works on it numerous times throughout the day ❤️

Homemade chalk activity on a beautiful sunny Saturday 🌞

Best thing? It's edible! Which is great for Joah who puts almost everything in his mouth 😊

While playing with chalk, he develops colour recognition, sorting and matching skills. As he grows we will use the chalk to teach him shapes, numbers and letters.

Just one cup corn flour and one cup water. Food coloring for assorted colours. I used bigger moulds and shapes for easier grip ❤️
