As part of our Genesis Reproductive Health Month series, our very own Bianca du Toit is sharing valuable insights on s***m count and what the numbers really mean.
A normal s***m concentration is generally considered to be 15 million s***m per millilitre or more. In a typical sample volume, this can translate to tens or even hundreds of millions of s***m cells.
However, higher numbers don’t automatically mean better fertility outcomes. S***m movement, shape, and overall health are just as important as the total count. Ultimately, it only takes one healthy s***m to fertilise an egg, quality matters just as much as quantity.
Watch the video to learn more about how s***m analysis works and what these results could mean on your fertility journey.
