Four suspects, aged between 21 and 38, were arrested separately for charges of r**e, attempted r**e, house robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm, during the intelligence driven operations conducted at Thohoyandou and Mahwelereng policing areas in Limpopo on Thursday, 19 June and Friday, 20 June 2025.

In Thohoyandou, three most wanted suspects aged between 21 and 38 were arrested at separate locations in the local policing area. A 21-year-old man was arrested at Itsani village for house robbery that occurred during December 2024. The suspect, aged 30, was arrested at Lufule 1 for attempted r**e. Still in Thohoyandou, a 38-year-old male suspect was arrested at Phiphidi for a r**e case.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition at Mabula village in the Mahwelereng policing area. The suspect was arrested during intelligence driven operation conducted on Friday, 20 May 2025, by Mahwelereng K9 and Tinmyne Vispol members.

During the arrest Police searched the suspect's bedroom and discovered one pistol (9mm) and two live ammunition. He failed to produce a firearm permit.

The suspects will soon appear before the local Magistrate’s Court.

The Police investigations are continuing.
