Prickly on the bottom. Beautiful and colourful on top. Attracting birds, bees anything looking for nectar.
A little bit of difficulty maybe to get it but perseverance pays off.

It looks like there's a raging fire.
It's just smoke in the sky at sunset with some clouds making a colourful show.
What we perceive is not always WHAT IS.
It is up to us to use our judgement and common sense.
In this case - know what is the cause and be thankful to catch this beautiful show. It doesn't last long and is never the same again.

Full moon with little clouds surrounding it. The moon was deep red with pink tinge. My phone does not take night moon photos well (or else it's the photographer at fault🤣).
What you see isn't always what you get, therefore, savour the moments because the memories may be all you have.

We had thunder lightning small hail big wind. Fortunately for less than an hour.
We may not like what is happening right now.
However, the next step could be opening because of this.
The leaves are shredded so the composting will be better.
If you have moved that move may just open a new or better path for you.

We went to look at the market here. No expectations.
Got wonderful pluses:
Great gifts.
Cloudy sky - so not miserably hot.
Interesting conversations with some of the stall holders.
Things to see that I like.
After a week of thinking "I just don't know" this was such a pleasure.

Looked the other day for a rainbow after the rain. Didn't see one.
However, after being closeted in my room doing stuff all morning I got up and looked out - there it was!
When we want or expect things we don't always get them in our time.
Sometimes it's a waiting game.
Unexpected gifts are such a pleasure.

When I saw this, my first thought was:
It has no handle and is a bit rusted therefore we should put a new shiny one in its place.
I decided to use it just quickly and it is actually nice to use and works well.
We don't always have to throw out the old because it doesn't look like it used to. We can find unexpected value when we take time to think again.

Mushroom family.
I saw them and fell in love with them. Then they disappeared. I couldn't see how. Then I saw white ones growing in the same spot and the next day they were this colour.
Sometimes we start out as one thing and then evolve into something else. We are always the PERFECT one of who we are at any given time. There is generally no-one else EXACTLY THE SAME as we are.
Embrace who you are and know your changes are 100% YOU.

Had the opportunity to go to Kruger park this week. I am always happy if I see elephants, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, gnu. The cats would be nice but dont always think of them since i have a wannabe at home called Charlie.
So what did we see? The above plus impala, kudu, waterbuck, far away baby croc on sandbank, monkeys, too far away to see without binoculars leopard.
I saw what I kind of manifested.
Was a good day with a great guide and great taxi driver getting us to and from the park.

Finished this baby blanket last week for someone. Enjoyed the project.
There is a lot of creativity out there if we take the time to look for it. Creating from scratch is not my strength but changing something usually is.
Have been looking for a way to make money doing what I like. Not sure what the market is like for this kind of thing in South Africa. It seems more viable overseas. Checking it out.
The time taken to do this can not readily be included in the price for sale, therefore compromises have to be made.
I think the enjoyment from creating the object and the time spent on it is one of those compromises.
Having to pay attention to the pattern is also a great way to get off the treadmill in your head, a d hopefully, by the time you are done, your thoughts have redirected.

It's a wonderful day even through all the trouble and strife going on everywhere.
Grateful for being able to do energy healing to keep me healthy on the whole and the walks I take at least once a week to get out and connect with the rest of the world here.

This evening was packing up to go inside and saw this moon sliver and colours of the sky.
Not always aware of the opportunities when we are closed in and busy with other stuff.

I offered to add length to sleeves on a jacket via crochet.
Got the colour right and pattern fits in.
Was assured it is good.
Still not sure it is good enough.
Sometimes you have to close your eyes and just do whatever it is you said you would do - even if you are not sure of the outcome.

Then I thought:
We don't always need a story.
We can just step out of our lives and just look at this beautiful picture and be thankful and grateful for having an opportunity to do this.

I keep looking at this photo and wondering if I should bin it.
I decided to keep it.
Looking at it you think this road goes on for ever. It is just perception - only a few blocks.
Sometimes we seem to wait forever to get what we want, but we should try to pay more attention to the journey we are taking and learning what we can along the way.

I happened to look out my window and saw Charlie's reflection. I took a photo because I thought it was so amazing. Sent it to the grandchildren all excited. Then I wanted to show my sister much later and I couldn't find Charlie in the picture.
How quickly we lose focus we get sidetracked by our daily lives😁

This one was eating my plant. It is so beautiful. I know this is not what I am supposed to say😂 - same with snails😢 - but i cannot kill them at this stage. This has come to bite me big time when they increase and know my flowers are great sources of food. Will enjoy their beauty and colours while I can and be grateful I have time to do so.

Saw this garland of mushrooms on my walk Sunday. Not sure if they are edible or someone removed them purposely, but if I had not taken that road on that day, I would have missed them. They were totally gone today.
'Getting up and doing' is sometimes not easy.
Staying on the couch reading a book or doing something that does not require much effort as a normal part of your day, means that things like this can be missed. Not a huge problem, but wow - how often do you get to see this?
A positive change in your life. Something new around the corner.
Grateful for being there at that particular time and place, and having a phone that takes a reasonably good photo.
