Having the worst flu of your life and it just won’t go away? Well we all know flu is caused by a virus. Infact plenty of them, adenovirus, rhinovirus to name just a few.

This here is an Anti-virus, so this is what Antibiotic is to bacteria. If your doctor is giving you an antibiotic for a viral flu virus then he has missed the point and that’s why you’re not getting better.

This is available only through a drip at R450 per drip, you can come get it as an add on to your flu-pack and watch your flu be cut down by days, and leaving you feeling strong and healthy again.

Available while stocks lasts. Good Night!

This is a reminder, that please PLEASE check the feet and between the toes of all people who have diabetes. This condition in the picture is called Diabetic foot and it can be prevented before it turns into something worse, Madura Foot (Google it).

Leadings cause of this is atherosclerosis, a condition that blocks blood flow to the feet, caused by uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus type 2, high cholesterol, smoking, sedentary lifestyle that includes lack of exercise and very high carbohydrates diet.

Be honest, when last did you get your bloods tested? I see a lot of medical aid patients too who have this option to check their systems but most people just use it for flu and nothing else. No flu vaccine, HPV vaccine, Pap smears and end up with complications like below, which are completely preventable if you visit your doctor regularly, not only when you’re sick and the sun is shining then you go.

Your body is like a car, it needs service even when it’s not broken. Health is a luxury and not a right. Those who maintain it live long and those who don’t will eventually lose their legs, feet etc. In the month of May, shock me for once, show up for your health and claim it back, clam your life back!

Ever wondered the differences between being mentally ill (psychotic) and having a calling to be a healer/sangoma. The rise in sangomas lately is mainly due to people attributing every sickness to being called to become a healer, here are the differences between the two.

So that next time, you can make an informed decision.

This morning, I was woken up by a buzz on my phone. It was a WhatsApp message from one of my patients who is currently under my treatment. It was a picture she sent. In the picture, is a pregnancy test that she took and it is positive! The best news ever because she had been struggling to fall pregnant and have a baby for a while now. Now I’m glad she’s 2-3 weeks into her pregnancy. I want to congratulate her on her pregnancy and pray all goes well for her and she one day holds that baby in her arms! We at my surgery are filled with joy to could have helped her with this journey.

Many women suffer in silence because of this. Some marriages end because of infertility. And for most times it can be treated. So pay us a visit and let’s help you too.

For those who are still struggling to find my surgery. Drive up to Mochachos in Sasolburg CBD, then along the road leading to SASSA offices we will be on your right hand side just before you reach SASSA offices or the new Sasolburg X-ray place.

We’re in the same yard as Dr Molokoane, The Dentist, in the same building Mr Mbonambi the Psychologist previously was. Or otherwise search ‘29 NJ Van Der Merwe Crescent, Sasolburg CBD 1948’ on google maps and it will lead you straight to us.

Hope to see you soon.

Some medications can cause what we call Gum Hyperplasia. This is a condition whereby the gums enlarge in size in some cases to a point where teeth can be buried under gum tissue. This often leads to tooth loss, painful bitting/chewing, bleeding, increased risk of trauma and overall unsightly appearance.

A drug that’s commonly responsible for this is Phenytoin (medication for managing Epilepsy) others include Amloc or Amlodipine (given for High Blood Pressure) , Cyclosporine (for Rhuematoid arthritis). Other causes include poor hygiene with plaque buildup, genetics and certain medical conditions.

Be vigilant and if you are on such medication or a loved one, to take quick action as this can be avoided/treated. However it’s not everyone who takes this medication who will get this condition.
