Sometimes, our minds make connections before we even realize it. Recently, I was captivated by an image of tree tops, viewed from below—a perspective shift that spoke to me deeply.
It reminded me of the conversations I’ve been having with clients about bullying. Bullying is pervasive, from schools to workplaces, even within our closest circles. It’s a huge challenge—one that often feels impossible to tackle alone. But it’s not about facing it alone; it’s about shifting our perspective.
What if, instead of fearing isolation from setting boundaries, we affirmed our worth? Instead of thinking, “If I speak up, I’ll lose friends,” we remind ourselves, “I am worthy of friends who celebrate me as I am.”
Instead of dismissing hurtful behavior with, “They’re only joking,” we assert, “I deserve kindness and respect.”
It’s about grounding ourselves in our own self-worth, standing tall—like those tree tops—rooted in the belief that we deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion.
Let’s choose to see our value from a new perspective, nurturing spaces that honour who we truly are.
